Rosanne Hawke

Rosanne Hawke has taught creative writing at Tabor Adelaide since 2006 as an adjunct and Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing. She has written thirty books for young people, including Shahana, Marrying Ameera, Soraya the Storyteller and Taj and the Great Camel Trek which won the 2012 SA Festival Award for children’s literature. Rosanne is the 2015 recipient of the Nance Donkin award, is a Carclew, Asialink, Varuna, and May Gibbs Fellow, plus a Bard of Cornwall. She holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide and won three teaching awards including an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
